Remediation work is in full swing
Weed spraying: Ten locations completed (out of 10)
Mulch removal: Six areas completed (of 9)
Asbestos removal: All initial locations completed, with raking underway at five locations
Fencing: The high fencing has been removed from several locations, including the corner of Progress Drive and Hope Road. An overall fencing strategy is being drafted to identify the placement of low fencing and gates, taking into account access for the public, wildlife, Western Power, fire services and the installation of rabbit-proof fencing.
Felled trees: Discussion about the future use of felled jarrah and marri trees up to 12 metres long, possibly staying in location as fauna habitat or being re-used by community groups.
