Fencing Decision
New fencing will be installed on the Corridor in late August, once fencing supplies arrive.
Consultation with residents in Coolbellup who border the Corridor found a majority preference for fencing the outside of the land, rather than just the cleared areas. This will allow better management of the whole site and limit illegal dumping in the bush.
Residents also provided feedback about appropriate places to provide gates on the fence lines. More information http://comment.cockburn.wa.gov.au/roe-8-remediation.
Trespassing
Despite attempts to keep the construction fencing intact, some vehicles are entering the Corridor illegally. In the latest incidents, trail bikes and a white four-wheel drive entered the Corridor off North Lake Road, placing the regrowth vegetation at risk. Local residents and motorists should report any suspicious behaviour to the Police on (08) 9430 1222 or CoSafe on 1300 26 72 33. Our media release can be viewed here.
