Planting goes ahead
Saturday 21 July was a significant date for both the community and the Rehabilitating Roe 8 Working Group with a morning of planting on the Corridor. A significant milestone on the path to recovery!
The morning started with a Welcome to Country by Marie Taylor.
Despite continual rain, a great attendance of 45 dedicated individuals installed 3,200 native plants west of Progress Drive.
Bicton MLA Lisa OMalley, Chair of the Working Group, said it was a fantastic effort, with the planting of key species such as Banksia menziesii (Firewood Banksia) and Eucalyptus marginata (Jarrah).
Many thanks to all who attended and contributed.
