Committee Call Out and More

This presents an exciting opportunity to work with other community members and stakeholders across several sectors.

Works on-going

Weed control and firebreak works are currently underway in the corridor.  Many of the areas that were cleared have now been sprayed to control grass and broadleaf weeds.

Firebreak maintenance will begin next week with slashing and spraying some of the breaks to retain structure.  Other areas will be to mineral earth.  A section of fencing along Samual Crt will be realigned to provide better fire vehicle access.

The Cockburn Community Wildlife Corridor bush care team have also been working hard in the section at the corner of Stock and Forrest Rd and in Malvolio Bushland.  Both these areas are looking great.  Please visit the Cockburn Community Wildlife facebook page to find out about future weeding events.
