Fauna monitoring under way

If you were walking in the corridor today you might have come across some khaki clad folks with shovels. Mike Bamford and his team from Bamford Consulting have commenced work on the vertebrate fauna monitoring within the corridor. The work will involve a combination of pitfall traps, cameras and on site observations to capture the range of animals who utilize the corridor.

The monitoring works will be undertaken in both spring and autumn to capture the full spectrum of animal activity. Data will be captured on frogs, birds, reptiles and mammals such as Quenda (also known as the Southern Brown Bandicoot). If you see buckets in the corridor please leave them in place as they are part of these works. For more information contact Project Manager.
