Guided Bird Walk within Roe 8 Corridor

Join Dr Tegan Douglas from BirdLife Australia at 9am on Saturday, 28 May 2022 for a guided walk through one of the Roe 8 Corridor’s birding hotspots!

It also happens to be a shared site in Birdata (RR8 Karak Zone), so your bird counts contribute significant data to this important dataset. Tegan will highlight what species you’re likely to see, give bird ID tips and will explain how to choose the right pair of binoculars for your needs. Roe 8 Rehabilitation Project Manager Adam Peck will also be there (ask him about his favourites, Black-Cockatoos!). At 10.30 we will stop for a cuppa, Q and A and chat.

Please bring long trousers and long-sleeved shirt, hat, water, raincoat (just in case) and closed shoes. Tegan will bring some binoculars to use, but bring your own if you have them. If you’re interested in using Birdata, please download the app to your mobile device and familiarise yourself with it (https://birdata.birdlife.org.au).
