Sunday morning was bathed in glorious sunshine as 30 volunteers attended the first community planting event in the corridor for the winter.
There was much excitement as people arrived eager to plant native trees and shrubs within the Malvolio Rd (also known as North Lake Rd West) section of the corridor. Volunteers from as far away as Padbury and Kewdale came along to help restore native vegetation. A beautiful Welcome to Country was given by Aunty Marie Taylor. Species such as Banksia, Jarrahs and Kangaroo Paws were planted along with a range of other local species.
