I’ll be bugged!

Last Saturday twenty eight people attended the Insect Insights event as part of the Rehabilitating Roe 8 project.  At the event Professor Jonathan Majer talked attendees through the number of ants species in WA over 800!  The value of ants and other insects in ecosystem function and also the role they play as bio-indicators in restoration.  We walked through the corridor in North Lake and got to see first hand how sampling is done.  It was a very informative session and the kids loved using the microscopes.
