In an effort to protect the Oblong Turtle and it’s nesting areas around the corridor PhD student from Murdoch University, Anthony Santoro will be working with City of Cockburn staff to install nesting cages in key locations around Bibra Lake and North Lake. These nesting cages will help protect eggs from predation by foxes and other animals.
This is part of a larger study that Anthony is undertaking. This project is made possible through the support of the Rehabilitating Roe 8 project and the City of Cockburn.

Anthony’s project will hopefully be featured on Channel 9 later this week.
Great work Anthony!
